Obituary: ​Donald F. Riccitelli, 84, of Madison

Donald F. Riccitelli, 84, died on Friday August 5 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Haven. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Casanova Riccitelli.

He was the father of Donald J. Riccitelli (Ellen Collins) of Madison, Toni Ross of Orange, and Susan Paolini (Vincent) of Madison. He is survived by his grandsons Vincent, Raymond, Marc, and Matthew, and his great-grandchildren Vincey, Ellie, Callie, and Samantha.

He was predeceased by his brother Anthony Riccitelli.Donald was born in New Haven on April 26, 1932, a son of Anthony and Julia Maffeo Riccitelli. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was an Electrical Contractor who owned and operated R and B Electric for many years. He was also a Real Estate Developer in both Connecticut and Florida.

He resided in Orange, Madison, and Marco Island, Florida. He was an avid sailor and was a member of the Branford Yacht Club for many years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 at St. Mary Church in Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford.
