Obituary: Eric Perrelli, 46, of Madison

Eric was a gifted football official. He was an active member of the New Haven Football Officials Association.

Madison resident Eric Perrelli died December 7 at Hospice in Branford. He was born in New Haven on November 24, 1971, son of Peter and Rosalie Perrelli. Eric graduated from Morgan High School in Clinton in 1990 and from American University with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1994. He spent many years working in software development and project management for a company now under General Dynamics. He loved golfing, football, the beach, and raising his family.

Eric was a gifted football official. He was an active member of the New Haven Football Officials Association and in the Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Football Officials rose to the Division II college level. Eric was predeceased by his mother, Rosalie. He is survived by his wife, Christine Perrelli; daughter, Paige; son, Sean; father and step-mother Peter and Barbara Perrelli of Largo, FL; brother, Pete Perrelli and wife Julie, of Clearwater, FL; and niece, Nicole Perrelli, of Tampa, FL. Family will receive friends on Wednesday December 13th from 6:00-8:00 pm and on Thursday December 14th from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm at the Swan Funeral Home 825 Boston Post Rd. Madison, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will on Friday December 15th at 10:00 am in St. Margaret Church 24 Academy Rd Madison, meeting directly at church. Burial to follow at Beaver Brook Cemetery, Clinton. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eric's memory may be made to Shoreline Soup Kitchen & Pantries (shorelinesoupkitchens.org) or the Guilford Interfaith Ministries directly or through justgive.org.
