Robert graduated from Daniel Hand High School in Madison (1963) and went on to get his BA
from Stonehill College. Music was always an integral part of his life and a joy to those who
heard him sing and play his guitar. While at Stonehill, he was recruited to go on the road with a
group of young musicians who backed up the likes of the Beach Boys, Judy Garland, and Johnny
Mathis.

Later Robert worked as a psychiatric social worker on Cape Cod. He loved the work he did
there, and his interest in other people was equaled only by his fascination with discovering the
world around him. For many years, Robert also owned and operated Clipper Management, an
employment agency in the Boston area.
