Online Campaign Seeks Support for Injured Daniel Hand High School Student
An online campaign seeks encouragement and financial support for Joe Barber, a Madison student seriously injured in a diving accident.
Madison residents are rallying behind DHHS senior Joe Barber, who is recovering from a recent diving accident at the Surf Club.
Friends of Joe and his family have launched a campaign, Go Joe GO, to give encouragement and raise funds to help in Joe’s recovery.
Messages of support for Joe and his family have been pouring into the Go Joe GO Facebook page, and a companion fundraising campaign was launched on August 19th, with a goal of raising $250,000. Nearly 200 donations totally over $40,000 have been made in the campaign’s first week. Madison Youth Football also held a pancake dinner for Joe on Monday night.
