Our Lady of Mercy School Agrees To Lease Extension: Report

The school's lease was originally not extended, which meant they would have had to find a new home.

MADISON, CT — Our Lady of Mercy School will remain at its Neck Road property through at least 2023 after agreeing to a lease extension with Sisters of Mercy, the New Haven Register reports.

It appeared for awhile that Our Lady of Mercy School would need to find a new home after its lease wasn't renewed back in 2015. School officials spent time researching possible new locations on the Shoreline but in the end they won't have to move.

Officials told the Register that they sought to purchase the land the school is on but the Sisters of Mercy are not interested in selling. The school is sponsored by St. George Church in Guilford and St. Margaret Church in Madison.
