Our Lady of Mercy School Given More Time To Find a New Home

The school is searching for a new home after learning last year its lease was set to expire.

MADISON, CT — Good news for Our Lady of Mercy School as its been given a lease extension through June 2019 at its current Neck Road location, the Shoreline Times reports.

The lease was originally set to expire June 2018. Principal Cheryl Buonome-Panzo told the Shoreline Times that this gives her more time to find a new a new home. School officials are considering all options for a new home but want to remain in the area.

Currently, there are 167 students enrolled. The school has $4 million in the bank to help in finding a new location. The schools attracts students from mainly Madison and Guilford but also some from Branford and North Branford and beyond.

One location that has been ruled out is the former Academy School because renovations would be too costly, the Shoreline Times reports.
