Residents File Lawsuit Against Madison Beach Hotel
Residents who live nearby say their noise and traffic concerns have not been adequately addressed.

Residents living near the Madison Beach Hotel have filed a lawsuit against the popular hotel claiming they are in violation of a 2008 variance with the town regulating noise and traffic stemming from the summer concert series, the New Haven Register reports.
Members of the Madison Beach Preservation Association have filed suit claiming their lives are adversely impacted by the noise from the concerts, which can be heard at their homes, which is in violation of town regulations.
But a hotel official says they are trying to be a good neighbor, and have reduced the number of concerts from 10 to 9, and each of the shows will begin at 7 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. and shuttle buses have been offered to reduce traffic conjestion, the Register reports.
