Scavenger hunt by bicycle
Madison Bike Share program provides bicycles to Boy Scouts of America Troop 125 Wilton.

The Madison Bike Share program provides local residents and tourists alike a convenient and affordable way to tour Connecticut’s shoreline community. Recently, Boy Scouts of America Troop 125 Wilton rented 12 bicycles for a weekend of adventure. The Troop camped at Deer Lake Scout Reservation and journeyed to Meigs Point Nature Center in Hammonasset Beach State Park via geotracking a scavenger hunt. The boys and Troop leaders stopping at checkpoints along the way including Madison’s Town Green used the Madison Bike Share as a means of recreation and amusement.
The Madison Bike Share program creates employment opportunities for adults with disabilities in Vista’s programs through weekly service and maintenance of the bicycle fleet. The rental fee covers all of the necessities for a day of fun; bicycle, helmet and lock for $12 a day. Rental locations can be found throughout Madison: Creations - 712 Boston Post Road; Madison Beach Hotel - 94 W. Wharf Road; Scranton Seahorse Inn - 818 Boston Post Road and Tidewater Inn - 949 Boston Post Road. Robert Mercer, Troop leader, recounted, “Bike Share locations are extremely convenient, he was happy they didn’t have to lug their own bikes.”
