Schools, Griffin Health 2nd Dose Kids Vaccine Clinic Friday

The second shot clinic is for children 5-11 who got their first on/before Nov. 12. To speed up the process more vaccinators will be on hand.

MADISON, CT — Madison schoolchildren ages 5 to 11 who received their first vaccine dose on or before Nov. 12 receive their second dose Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Madison Senior Center, 29 Bradley Road.

The Madison Public Schools pediatric COVID-19 vaccine clinics are run by Griffin Health.

The ask for families is to use this link to sign up for the time window they plan to bring their student(s) to be vaccinated. Griffin Health doesn't provide specific appointments, but a block scheduling system that's "helpful in reducing congestion at the clinic."

Once a time window is full, it will be removed as an option.

Additionally, the number of vaccinators for this clinic have been "greatly increased to help speed up" the vaccination process.

It's noted that the health care providers administering the vaccinations "may not move as quickly from patient to patient as they would at adult clinics," and so patience is asked for.

The next second-dose clinic will be held Dec. 10 for children who received first dose on Nov. 19. Also slated to be held at the Senior Center, albeit from 2 to 6 p.m.
