In 1647, Alice Young of Windsor, Connecticut became the first person convicted and hanged for witchcraft in the Thirteen Colonies. Her trial gave way to witchcraft accusations throughout the state. Author Beth Caruso will examine how many people were charged, the types of magic people believed in, and what it actually meant to be accused of witchcraft in the 17th century. Please sign up here.
