Scranton Memorial Library Interim Director Named: Report
The position became open when the current director left for a job in another Connecticut town.
MADISON, CT — E.C. Scranton Memorial Library Director Beth Crowley resigned her position on Sept. 14 as she takes the same job running the Cheshire Library, the Madison Source reports. Laura Downes has been named interim library director and she began this Monday.
A search is on to find Crowley's full-time replacement. Downes previously worked for the library for seven-years in a part-time capacity. Downes will be tasked with helping to temporarily move the library to North Madison next month as a major renovation project occurs at the current library space.
