'Seas The Day': Apply For Summer Lifeguard Jobs Now

MADISON, CT — Summer cannot come too soon. Well, not before Madison has its lifeguards in place. Now is the time to apply for those jobs, Madison's department of Beach and Recreation says.

The season begins in late May, so apply now.

Here's what you need to know:

Lifeguard, Seasonal begins May 2020.

The Town of Madison is accepting applications for the position of Lifeguard – seasonal. This position is located in the Beach & Recreation department of the Town. Application forms may be submitted from the Town’s website at www.madisonct.org or printed and brought to the Beach & Recreation department.

General Duties: Guards are directly responsible for the personal safety of all patrons while in the Town Park. Enforces all rules and regulations of the park; responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment at the Town Park when not on duty. Reports directly to the Lead Supervisor. Minimum Training and Experience Required To Perform Essential Job Functions:

• Red Cross Lifeguard & Waterfront Certification required
• CPR & First Aid Certification required
• Current certifications must be submitted with application
• Must be at least (16) years old
• 1-year experience as a lifeguard preferred
• Must be able to work weekends beginning Memorial Day through June, and then daily through Labor day
