The SAA and the town have had differing views regarding the structure of a potential lease and financing of the project. The Madison Source previously reported that some developers were starting to eye the parcel and expressed interest in the land.
The New Haven Register reports that the SAA stated in its withdrawal letter to the board that the town’s terms for a lease changed from what it initially presented and “depleting” the alliances resources.
