Snow Day, Sort Of: Madison Schools Go All Remote Wednesday
But the distance learning 'snow day' calls for a shortened day of assignments with "wellness activities that will allow for a needed break."

MADISON, CT — As the snow has already begun to fall Tuesday afternoon, schools superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke told families that Wednesday will be a remote learning day given the forecasted snowy weather will affect both the morning arrival and afternoon dismissal times for schools.
Cooke noted that all schools will go remote. He said students will get a shortened day's worth of assignments "along with some wellness activities that will allow for a needed break. "
The framework of the district's shortened day schedule for distance learning can be found here.

And Cooke said building principals will communicate a shortened day schedule for synchronous and asynchronous learning directly.
"This shortened distance learning day will also offer the opportunity for all staff to complete some required training," Cooke wrote. "Thank you for your understanding. Our hope is that announcing this alteration to the schedule early will provide families with time to plan."
