Suit Against Madison Beach Hotel in Discovery Phase
The lawsuit was filed against the hotel for not adhering to rules set by variances.

There have been no responses from either the Madison Beach Hotel or the town regarding a lawsuit.
According to an article in the Madison Source, the lawsuit filed again the hotel May 20 alleges the establishment is in violation of numerous variances it was granted in 2008. The suit is in the discovery phase.
A Madison Beach Preservation Association board member, Cecilia Pfister, said the violations negatively impact the hotel’s neighbors and surrounding property values.

She told the Source that the violations include exceeding building occupancy for special events, unapproved exterior lighting, truck deliveries outside of approved hours and amplified music that can be heard more than 50 feet from the hotel property.
Pfister faults the town for not enforcing rules set in the granted variances.
