Why you should go right now: The web site offers a coupon for a $5 discount on a bill of $35 or more. We like Zhang’s for the friendly staff and the choice of both Chinese dishes and sushi. You won’t find innovative or cutting edge Chinese food at Zhang’s, but when the mood strikes for traditional favorites such as General Tso’s chicken, egg rolls and wonton soup, Zhang’s delivers. For something a little more out of the ordinary, ask the waiter if a kitchen has a whole fish and how the chef is preparing it that night. Our other favorite choices on the menu are the shrimp with walnuts – battered shrimp, served cold, with mayonnaise and walnuts – and a nicely spicy eggplant with garlic sauce.
