Threat Made Against Hand High School on Social Media

Message from Superintendent of Schools Thomas Scarice,

The Daniel Hand High School administration was informed at arrival time this morning that a threat was made on social media last night towards the high school. The administration swiftly responded, and with the assistance of the Madison Police Department, the student was identified and secured. The school immediately went into code yellow which keeps all students and staff securely in place and does not permit entry into the building. The code yellow status was lifted shortly thereafter once the matter was resolved and school will resume as normal for the remainder of the day.
