Tom Banisch’s Goodbye Message To Madison Residents After Loss

MADISON, CT - Two-time Republican incumbent Tom Banisch lost his bid for a third term in Election Day, as Democrat Peggy Lyons beat him in a close race.

On social media, here is what Banisch had to say about his lost:

“Many thanks to all of my supporters and friends for a well fought race. Unfortunately, I fell short by about 300 votes and extend best wishes to Peggy Lyons as Madison's new First Selectman.

“In times like this, it is best to rely on God's presence for strength going forward, so I'll close with these words from 2 Timothy 4:7:

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
