Weather Postpones Public Hearing on Madison's Proposed Budget for 2016-17

Message from Madison First Selectman Thomas Banisch to residents:

Good Afternoon! .

While the weather today is not extreme, many activities are being cancelled because of the timing of the event relative to when people would have to travel.

The Town of Madison has scheduled for tonight a Public Hearing of the combined Boards of Finance, Education and Selectmen at 7:30 at Polson School, which was to present the three Boards Budget Proposals to the Public for the first time.

In light of the weather situation, we have decided to not hold the meeting tonight and to adjourn tonight’s meeting to next Tuesday night at 7:30 at Memorial Town Hall. We will also post this to the town website, but please be advised that the Public Hearing scheduled for tonight will be held next Tuesday, March 1 at 7:30 pm at Memorial Town Hall.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but we truly feel that bad weather will keep people away, and we would like as many people as possible to be able to attend.
I look forward to seeing you at Memorial Town Hall next Tuesday night.
