Town Clerk Says Ballots Were Successfully Mailed By State Tuesday
A mail house contracted by the secretary of state did not mail absentee ballots the week of July 27. They went out Tuesday, clerk says.

MADISON, CT — An important message from Town Clerk about the Aug. 11 primary and reports that some absentee ballots were not mailed by July 27 the mail house contracted by the Secretary of the State.
"The Madison Town Clerk's office would like to assure you that they isolated those applications, processed the ballots and mailed them on Tuesday," Nancy J. Martucci said.
In a alert to residents, Martucci said that to, "ensure that your ballot will be in on time, voters are encouraged" to return their completed ballots in the secure drop box. Place ballot in both the inner and outer envelopes. Once deposited in the drop box, the ballot is considered received by the town. But make sure it's put in the drop box by 8 p.m. on Aug. 11.

Madison's drop box is located outside the main entrance of Town Hall facing the Police Department to the left of the entrance between the columns under the overhang. It is marked Town Clerk Only-Official Drop Box.
Additionally, polling locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- District #1 has been moved from the Senior Center to Polson Middle School Gym, located at 302 Green Hill Road.
- District #2 remains at Brown.
