$24.36 to $34.07

The Town of Madison is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Assessor. This position is located in the Assessor’s Office of the Town. Completed applications must be received in the Human Resources Department no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday December 2, 2016. Assistant Assessor: Associates Degree in business, financial management or closely related field and three (3) years of related experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge. Position requires a Certified Connecticut Municipal Assessor I (CCMA I) certificate and valid Connecticut Driver’s License. Ability to obtain a CCMA II Certification within 2 years from date of hire is required as a condition of employment.
Position Purpose: To perform administrative, technical and field work to assist the Assessor in the valuation of all real estate, personal property and motor vehicles; perform field investigations and inspections in evaluating property; and to collect and process information to assist in the establishment of the Town’s Grand list.
