Daniel Hand High School’s football game scheduled for Nov. 1 has been cancelled due to an incident of unacceptable behavior by some members of the junior varsity football team, the New Haven Register reports.
The Nov. 1 game was scheduled against Xavier High School’s junior varsity team in Middletown.
According to the paper, school officials said the administration dealt with the situation swiftly and strictly.

Varsity and junior varsity football members will be required to attend a meeting on Nov. 1 to address the incident, the paper reports. Sensitivity training will be provided to both the teams and coaches.
Officials did not release any details of the incident that happened between a small group of players on the junior varsity team.
