Weather Alert Issued In Madison
Flood watches are in effect throughout the state, according to officials.
MADISON, CT — The following weather alert was issued Monday by Madison officials:
Flood Watches are now in effect for the entire state until 8:00AM tomorrow morning (03/17), with Wind Advisories going into effect at 2:00PM this afternoon (03/16) through tomorrow morning.
South winds are currently sustained at 15 – 20 MPH. Gusts are forecasted up to 50MPH this afternoon, with peak wind gusts forecasted to reach 65MPH between 7:00PM-2:00AM this evening. Total rainfall is expected to range from 2"-4" across the state.

Due to soil saturation, the impact on power is expected to be moderate with some trees toppling over in the wet soil. The flooding impact is expected to be minor to moderate, and any tide impacts are expected to be minor.

- Fully charge devices ahead of the storm (including portable chargers/power banks), check flashlights, and plan for possible power issues
