Woman Charged In Connection With Madison Woman's Death: Police
Police said an 84-year-old woman was fatally struck by a motor vehicle in January.

MADISON, CT – More than eight months after an 84-year-old Madison woman died after being struck by a car in the Stop & Shop parking lot, another Madison woman has been charged with causing her death, police said Tuesday.
Police have arrested Lois E. Ashman, 70, of the unit block of Apple Way, and charged her with negligent homicide-motor vehicle.
Ashman was the driver of car that struck Marjorie Ehrenfreund on Jan. 12 of this year, police said.

She was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries.
Police have said that Ashman was cooperative in their investigation of the fatal accident, police said.

The South Central Regional Traffic Unit assisted in the police investigation. No other details were given by police.
