Youth Development Coordinator To Teach Mindfulness To Students
Madison Youth & Family Services hired Amy de Lucia-Ferris to work part-time teaching mindfulness in elementary and intermediate schools.

MADISON, CT — Madison Youth and Family Services announced a new Youth Development Coordinator has joined the staff.
Amy de Lucia-Ferri will work in the role in a part-time capacity.
In a Facebook post, MYFS noted that de Lucia-Ferri brings two decades of experience "developing, designing and facilitating mindfulness and well-being practices and programs to diverse populations of people in New York City and more recently on the Shoreline," to the job.

"She is passionate about developing programs that help youth connect to themselves, that help them build a strong sense of self and a positive connection to their bodies, empowering them with knowledge of how their minds work, and helping them to develop their own tools to address stress and anxiety while deepening their connection to their peers, families and community," the youth and family service agency posted.
She is trained in the Mindful Schools curriculum, the Learning to Breathe curriculum, is a certified meditation instructor with The Interdependence Project in NYC, as well as certified as Registered Yoga Teacher.

De Lucia-Ferri will teach mindfulness techniques to all grade levels at both Jeffrey and Ryerson elementary schools and will also be at Brown Intermediate School heading up the Mentoring Matters program.
She lives in Madison with her husband and two children, who attend Madison schools.
