1 Injured in I-84 Rollover Crash in Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — One person was injured Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 84 in Manchester, according to the Manchester Fire Department.

Firefighters responded around 4:23 p.m. to the westbound lanes near Exit 62 for a vehicle that had rolled over.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage, but there was no entrapment, the Fire Department said.

One person was transported to a local trauma center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The patient was treated by Manchester Fire Department paramedics and the Ambulance Service of Manchester.

Initial reports indicated that a second person had been ejected from the vehicle and was missing. Those reports were later determined to be unfounded, according to the Fire Department.

The highway's HOV lane was temporarily closed while crews righted and removed the vehicle.
