110 Grill Proposing 3rd Connecticut Location For Plaza In Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — A restaurant chain that features "modern American cuisine in a trendy casual atmosphere" that also boasts a commitment to those with food allergies has submitted plans to build its third Connecticut location in Manchester.

Municipal planning officials this week said that applications have been submitted for a special exception modification and erosion and sedimentation control plan to relocate an existing automated teller machine drive-up to accommodate a new 110 Grill restaurant with outdoor seating at 1127 and 1131 Tolland Turnpike.

That's the Plaza at Burr Corners.

No timetable for review has been announced.

The 110 Grill chain currently has Connecticut locations in Canton and Southington.

The chain also has restaurants in Massachusetts and the Hudson River Valley.

In its online profile, 110 Grill touts a "comfortable and upscale-casual atmosphere." The restaurants in the chain feature complete with open kitchens, large horseshoe-shaped bars and outdoor patios with fire pits.

"Whether you are looking to enjoy a nice glass of Cabernet and a ribeye with business colleagues dressed in suits, grab a burger and a beer at the bar in shorts and a T-shirt, or sip sangria with friends by a roaring fire pit on a summer evening, you will fit right in," the profile says.

According to the profile, the entire core menu can be made gluten free.
