2 Children Among Those Hurt In Manchester Crash

Four people were hurt as two cars collided in Manchester Friday night.

MANCHESTER, CT — Four people were hurt — including two children — in a wild crash in Friday night in Manchester, police said.

The crash took place at at 9:59 p.m. on Center Street near the intersection of Falknor Drive. Police said two vehicles were involved.

Police said that a preliminary investigation showed that one vehicle was traveling eastbound on Center Street before veering across the oncoming lane of traffic and then into the front of a house at 819 Center St. The vehicle then traveled back onto the road and collided with another vehicle that had been traveling westbound on Center Street, according to the report.

The driver of the first vehicle, described in a report as "an adult female," sustained "significant injuries" and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, according to the report.

Traveling in the second vehicle were a woman and two children, police said. According to the report, all were taken to an area hospital with injuries. The extent of the injuries was not outlined in the report.
