2 Stabbed During Robbery Attempt At Manchester Apartments: Police

Manchester police said an armed robber attacked two residents of a local apartment complex early Friday morning.

MANCHESTER, CT — Two men were stabbed early Friday morning during an armed robbery at a large apartment complex in the Buckland Hills section of Manchester, police said.

At 12:20 a.m. Friday, officers responded to reported armed robbery and stabbing at The Pavilions apartment complex at 345 Buckland Hills Drive. Three men were inside the apartment and two of them had sustained stab wounds — one in his leg and hand, and the other to the abdomen, police said.

According to an incident report, police were told that a man dressed in all-black clothing and wearing a black mask approached one of the residents outside the apartment and demanded money. The masked man then stabbed the resident in the leg and followed him inside the apartment, according to an incident report.

The assailant again demanded money once inside, and then stabbed the second resident, according to a an incident report.

The masked man then fled in an unknown direction and the victims locked themselves in a bedroom until police arrived, according to an incident report.

The third resident of the apartment was not injured, police said. Both victims were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

A Manchester police canine unit conducted a track, but the assailant was not located, a report indicates.
