2nd Person Dies In Manchester Commuter Lot Shooting

Two people have now died after a shooting incident at a Manchester commuter lot, state police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — A second person has died after being shot early Sunday morning at a commuter lot in Manchester, state police said Tuesday. State police are terming the incident a double homicide.

The victim was identified as Gregory Scott, 24, of Massachusetts. Scott died from wounds sustained during the course of the shooting, state police said.

State police have also identified a vehicle that was present during the incident — a dark gray pick-up truck with dark rims, possibly a 2013 to 2016 model.

The shooting took place at about 2 a.m. Sunday at the Connecticut Department of Transportation commuter lot off Buckland Street in Manchester amid a gathering of between 100 and 200 people, state police said.

The first reported gunshot death was that of 20-year-old Jennifer Hicks who is also from Massachusetts, a report indicates.

Detectives from the Central District Major Crimes Squad are currently investigating the incident and are asking any witnesses to call the state police Troop H barracks at 860-534-1000.
State police said all information will remain confidential.
