3 Charged in Connection with Manchester Shooting Incident

Police arrested 3 people in connection with a weekend shooting incident in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police have made three arrests in connection with a shooting on Saturday.

At least one shot was fire during the incident and a tan-colored 2005 Chevy Malibu was noticed leaving the the area of East Center Street and Walker Street shortly before 6:30 p.m., according to case records.

Two suspects were located on Tuesday hiding inside 15 Wadsworth St. and were taken into custody without incident, police said.

Anthony Gunn, 25, whose last known address was 109 Westerly St., Manchester, was charged with:

  • Criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault
  • Conspiracy to commit first-degree assault
  • Conspiracy to commit first-degree reckless endangerment
  • The unlawful discharge of a firearm
  • Criminal possession of a firearm
  • Weapon in a Motor Vehicle

The bond for the charges was set at $500,000.

Gunn also had an existing arrest warrant for the unrelated charges of:

  • 13 counts of sixth-degree larceny
  • 13 counts of illegal use of a payment card
  • 13 counts of receiving goods or services obtained by the illegal use of a payment card

The bond on the warrant arrest was set at $500 cash or surety.

Gunn was being held and is slated to be presented in court Wednesday if he does not post.

Kevin McCray, 27, whose last know address was 334 Maple St., New Britain, was charged with:

  • Conspiracy to commit first-degree assault
  • Conspiracy to commit first-degree reckless endangerment
  • Weapon in a motor vehicle

He was held on a $500,000 bond and is slated to be presented in court Wednesday if he does not post.

Also arrested as part of the investigation was a resident of the Wadsworth Street dwelling, Lashay Belton, 33 for:

  • 2 counts of hindering prosecution
  • Interfering with an officer

She was held on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled for a Wednesday arraignment if she does not post.
