Closing Costs

“3% of the Purchase Price is usually a Good Number”

Hi
Joe- I am working with Amanda and Doug on the purchase of the East
Windsor property they discussed with you. We are going to ask for
closing costs, can you give me an idea what they will need for closing
costs? I am looking forward to working with you again as always. Thank you-Linda

I wish there was such a thing as one price or dollar amount that fits all
transactions. The biggest expense for closing costs is the adjustment
taxes with the seller and the escrows.

The 3% may be a good number in Connecticut, but these numbers would be
different in the other 7 states we do mortgages, MA, RI, ME, VT, NH, NY
and FL.

Seller paid closing costs are pretty common in CT in many parts of the state
but certainly not the case in many parts of the country. It is all a
matter of supply and demand.
