MANCHESTER, CT — Last week, the Manchester Police Department worked with the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services Tobacco Prevention and Enforcement Program to conduct "unannounced" compliance inspections of establishments that sell tobacco products and/or electronic cigarettes.

Police said the inspections were performed to determine compliance with state laws prohibiting the sale of e-cigarettes and/or tobacco products to those younger than 21.

These efforts were in partnership with Change Collaborative of Manchester, a coalition that works toward building "a safe and healthy community for youth through substance use prevention."
