A Peek Inside: KO's Middle School Open House Set for Monday, Jan. 13

It is crucial to nurture middle schoolers' intellectual curiosity and pride in “being smart,” according to Kingswood Oxford's Middle School Director Jane Repp and Associate Director Kathy Dunn.

During an Open House for prospective Middle School parents on Monday morning, Jan. 13, they will explain how these twin goals inform KO's educational philosophy and curriculum.

Then, parents will have the chance to see it for themselves, by attending the Middle School's regular Monday assembly. Ms. Repp blogged recently about how these assemblies are in many ways a microcosm of the best of the KO Middle School experience.

Click here to register for the Open House or to request more information about KO (or call 860-727-5000). On Jan. 13, prospective parents should sign in at the Estes Middle School building in the heart of KO’s campus at 8:15am. The formal program will begin at 8:30am and end at 10am, when the MS assembly is over.

Families who cannot attend but who wish to learn more about KO should contact the Admissions Office for remaining interview and tour dates. Only those applications received by Feb. 1 will be eligible for consideration for KO’s merit scholarships, two of which are earmarked for grade-6 applicants.
