Adult Summer Reading At Manchester Public Library

Free Activities for Adults at the Library

With the theme of "Build A Better World," Manchester Public Library is offering a wide array of programs for adults this summer. Discover how the importance of the Connecticut River has evolved through the years. Bring out your creative side through a Card Making Class or an Expressive Arts Collage Workshop (registration required for both). Learn about the process of world building in fantasy fiction. Be entertained by the "From Jazz To Soul" musical journey or Mark Twain's musings on the American Presidency. Participate in a community service project by helping to create no-sew pillows for distribution to local nursing home residents. There will also be a special celebration of the partial solar eclipse occurring in August. The regularly scheduled adult programs - coloring, board games, multiple book clubs and feature films will take place as well. All programs are free.

Adults submitting titles of books read or listened to and book reviews will be eligible for the random drawings at the end of the August for Kindle Fire e-Readers, donated by the Friends of the Manchester Public Library, and Jorgensen Theatre gift certificates.

Please call Reference and Adult Services at 860-645-0821 for more information or check the library website (http://library.townofmanchester.org) for a complete description of all summer events.
