Alert Janitor Takes Care Of Fire At Manchester Apartment Complex
Fire officials said a janitor managed to get ahead of a blaze and then evacuate a building in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — An alert janitor saved the day Tuesday when a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Manchester, officials said.
The fire broke out at 5 Downey Dr., which is the Fountain Village complex.
When firefighters arrived, they encountered smoke from a bathroom ceiling fire that had already been extinguished, officials said. It turns out, an alert janitor noticed the incident, grabbed an extinguisher and took care of things, they said.
