According to the announcement, Larry Ash, who leads the Cruisin' Committee, committee members and Calvin Harris, the town's senior recreation supervisor, have been organizing plans for the event. The announcement describes Cruisin' on Main as one of the largest one-day car shows in New England.

Admission will be free for spectators. People who want to enter a vehicle in the show will pay a $10 registration fee, according to the announcement.

The event is expected to include cars on display, music and dining in the downtown area. The announcement encourages both car owners and visitors to attend.

The committee said sponsors and charitable donations help support the show's success each year. Sponsor's Choice Trophies are set to be awarded during the event, and dash plaques will go to the first 700 cars, according to the announcement.

The annual show is a recurring community event in Manchester and is being organized through a partnership between the committee and town recreation staff. The announcement did not provide additional details about registration procedures or street closures.

For now, residents can mark their calendars for Aug. 2, with Aug. 9 and Aug. 16 listed as backup dates if weather affects the main event. Spectators can attend for free, while vehicle owners who want to participate can register their cars for $10, according to the announcement.
