• Manchester July 4 Celebration Returns July 5 To CT State Community College (patch.com) — Manchester residents can look forward to the James "Dutch" Fogarty Independence Day Celebration returning July 5 to the CT State Community College campus on Bidwell Street. The long-running event features live bands, an expanded kids zone, artisan market, 14 food trucks, and a dusk fireworks show, with July 12 reserved as a rain date.    

• After Erin Stewart's exit from race, her New Britain supporters unite behind Ryan Fazio (nhregister.com) — Manchester gets a brief spotlight in statewide Republican politics as Matt Corey of Manchester leads a key roll call vote for lieutenant governor at the GOP convention, following Erin Stewart’s sudden exit from the governor’s race. Delegates, especially from New Britain, shifted to back state Sen. Ryan Fazio for governor, aiming to quickly unify the party for the fall campaign.
