MANCHESTER, CT — The Burger King at 467 Center St. in Manchester will be closed "for about a week" while plumbing issues are addressed.
That was the word from staffers who happened to be at the restaurant Friday morning. Signs had been posted both at the front door and drive-up window saying, "We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are closed until further notice."
A staffer then said it would be just a few days.
It was an odd scene, since the BK is within a short distance to Manchester Superior Court and Fridays tend to be very busy days, especially on a short week.
The guesstimate from staffers contradicted one online directory search that indicated the BK would be back open Saturday and a Facebook blog post that vaguely referenced a seemingly temporary, but mysterious, closure.
