MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester-based Bob's Discount Furniture was ranked No. 7 on Furniture Today’s annual Top 100 U.S. Furniture Stores list for the second consecutive year, according to a June 1 announcement from the company.
Bob's Discount Furniture is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol BOBS.
The company said the ranking comes as it expanded its retail footprint to 216 stores across 27 states. According to the announcement, future openings are planned in both new and existing markets, including Bob’s first stores in Tennessee and South Carolina, as well as a new distribution center in Macon, Georgia.
The announcement said Bob's continued strategic expansion, strong performance, and a customer experience built around a low-pressure, omnichannel model helped the retailer maintain its position on the national list. The company described itself as one of the nation’s fastest-growing furniture retailers.
"Our strong ranking is a direct reflection of our associates’ hard work, passion, and dedication to providing stylish, quality furniture at everyday low prices to millions of customers coast-to-coast," said Bill Barton, the president and CEO of Bob's Discount Furniture. "For 35 years, The Bob's Way has challenged industry norms, helping our brand stand apart and earn the trust of customers across the country. Ultimately, Bob’s isn’t just selling furniture, we’re delivering maximum value and an unparalleled omnichannel shopping experience to our customers at every stage."
