MANCHESTER, Conn. — Hundreds of classic and custom vehicles are expected to line Main Street when the 25th annual Cruisin' on Main Street car show returns Sunday, Aug. 2.

The annual event is organized by the Manchester Cruisin' Committee in partnership with the town. Committee Chairman Larry Ash, committee members and Senior Recreation Supervisor Calvin Harris have coordinated this year's show.

The event is free for spectators. Vehicle owners can register to display their cars for a $10 fee. Sponsor's Choice trophies will be awarded, and dash plaques will be presented to the first 700 registered vehicles.

Organizers describe Cruisin' on Main Street as one of New England's largest one-day car shows, featuring hundreds of vehicles, live music and dining opportunities at downtown restaurants.

The committee is also seeking community support through its "Friend of Cruisin'" fundraising campaign. Donations of $30, $50 or $100 will help support the event and a local nonprofit organization. Donors will be recognized on the Cruisin' on Main Street website and the event's Facebook page.
