| UR Community Cares and the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter Partner to Present "Memory in Motion" Community Bike & Walk Event |
| UR Community Cares is proud to partner with the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter to present Memory in Motion, a unique community bike and walk event celebrating accessibility, inclusion, healthy living, and the power of creating meaningful memories together. The event will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. along the Cheney Rail Trail in Manchester. Participants are encouraged to park at Center Springs Park, Little Theater of Manchester or VAZ House Cafe and enjoy a 1 to 3-mile walk or bike ride, choosing a distance that best fits their abilities and comfort level. Click here to donate! Memory in Motion is designed to bring together individuals and families of all ages and abilities for a morning filled with movement, connection, nostalgia, and new experiences. Whether participants are lifelong cyclists, casual walkers, caregivers, or simply looking for a fun community event, everyone is welcome. |

The celebration will also recognize the opening of VAZ House Cafe, located along the Cheney Rail Trail, and encourage participants to visit and support this new local business. "This event demonstrates how recreation, community partnerships, and inclusive design can bring people together," Puzzo added. "By creating welcoming opportunities for everyone to participate, we're building a stronger, healthier, and more compassionate community." The event is free and open to the public. Residents from all communities are encouraged to attend. |
