MANCHESTER, Conn. — A driver was injured Friday morning after a vehicle caught fire at the intersection of Spencer and Olcott streets, according to the Manchester Fire Department.
Manchester firefighters responded to the well-involved vehicle fire at about 9:53 a.m. The vehicle's sole occupant and operator was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.
The fire was quickly extinguished by crews from Engine 1 and Truck 2, the department said.
Two lanes of Spencer Street were closed for about 45 minutes while firefighters worked at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
