Manchester's Adelbrook Academy Receiving $1.5 Million In Additional State Funding (patch.com) β Manchester's Adelbrook Academy is receiving an additional $1.5 million in state funding, boosting the total investment in its expansion to $2.5 million and enabling construction of new classrooms and therapy spaces. The project will expand services for local students with autism and other special needs, add about 30 seats, and create nearly 30 new jobs in Manchester while supporting districts across Connecticut.

CT man convicted of bringing minor to apartment under false prentices, sexually assaulting them (courant.com) β A Manchester man has been convicted in Hartford Superior Court of sexually assaulting a juvenile he lured to his apartment, following an investigation by Manchester police. Jurors found him guilty of multiple charges, including second- and fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, with sentencing scheduled for November 19 in Hartford.

East Hartford woman accused of stealing from CT Medicaid by submitting untruthful time sheets (fox61.com) β A Medicaid fraud case tied to Connecticut's Adult Family Living Waiver program is moving through Manchester Superior Court, where an East Hartford woman faces larceny and health insurance fraud charges. Prosecutors say she improperly collected over $18,000 by submitting false time sheets, and each felony count could bring up to 20 years in prison if she's convicted.
