First Niagara Names New Vice President of Commercial Lending for Manchester and Hartford

First Niagara announced it has named Allison Standish Plimpton as Vice President of Commercial Lending for the Greater Hartford and Greater Manchester area.  Standish Plimpton will manage commercial relationships throughout the region for businesses with annual revenues ranging from $2 million to $25 million.  In addition to supporting the bank’s existing commercial relationships, she will be responsible for generating new business banking opportunities, and expanding commercial loans and deposit relationships for the bank.  Standish Plimpton will report to First Vice President, Joseph Shaw, who manages the Business Banking teams in Greater Hartford, Greater Manchester, and West Springfield, MA.

“Allison brings a wealth of commercial lending experience to the table and has proved herself as a dedicated and knowledgeable professional capable of providing creative financing solutions and financial services to middle market companies in the region,” First Niagara New England Regional President David Ring said.  “Allison’s ability to balance the needs of both the borrower and the bank, and to exceed expectations among our customers, makes her the perfect fit for this position.  She also holds community service in high regard and is involved with a number of organizations in her hometown.  We’re delighted to have Allison on board at First Niagara.”

Allison Standish Plimpton joins First Niagara from TD Bank where she served since 2005, most recently as Vice President- Relationship/Portfolio Manager, Middle Market Lending.  Prior to TD Bank, she was with the former NewAlliance Bank, and UPS Capital.

Standish Plimpton earned her B.A. in English from Rollins College and received training in accounting and corporate finance from Barney School of Business and New England College of Business.  She resides in Glastonbury with her husband and son. Standish Plimpton represents First Niagara as a board member of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. She also coaches Oakwood Premier Soccer Club’s Under-13 girl’s team, and is a member of Glastonbury’s PTO.

Standish Plimpton will serve clients from First Niagara’s Manchester office, located at 923 Main Street, Manchester.
