Anita Cartier, 93, Mother of Two

Anita (Cote) Cartier, of Manchester, Connecticut, passed away on December 12, 2014. Anita was born September 29, 1921 in Coteville, NH.

Throughout her life she worked in shoe shops, from her home, Keezer Manufacturing, and Western Electric.

She is survived by her son Richard Cartier and his wife Karen Cartier, her daughter Linda Janvrin, daughter-in-law Kathryn Cartier, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and her sister, Henrietta Halde. She was pre-deceased by her husband Donat A. Cartier, son David A. Cartier and 7 brothers and sisters.

Anita’s family would like to offer a special note of thanks to the staff at Manchester Manor for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Anita.

A viewing, for family and friends, will be held at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester, on Monday, Dec. 15, from 9 to 10 a.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at St. James Church, 896 Main St., Manchester, at 10:30 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made in Anita’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
