Another 'No Kings' Rally Coming To Park In Manchester
The No Kings movement is headed for Manchester this weekend.
MANCHESTER, CT — Another round of No Kings protests are slated for cities and towns across the country, in Connecticut and specifically in Manchester on Saturday.
The No Kings movement is a broad reference to grassroots demonstrations and activism opposing a perception of concentrated, unchecked executive power — especially anything seen as resembling authoritarian rule.
A rally is slated for Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Manchester's Center Memorial Park off Main Street.

The No Kings movement was the impetus of organized rallies across the U.S. organized by a coalition of progressive groups that stood against some policies and actions of the Trump administration.
Organizers said in a statement they expect turnout to surpass previous events, potentially making March 28 one of the largest one-day protests in U.S. history. More than 3,000 events are planned in every congressional district in all 50 states, and more events are added daily. Organizers say attendance could surpass the 7 million who attended an event last October.
