Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

• The start of the spring 2019 theatre season is full steam ahead as CCU's Department of Theatre presents a glorious rendition of Qui Nguyen's "She Kills Monsters." Directed by Coastal's own Benjmain Sota, this theatrical event introduces the audience to a comedic, bright world of fantasy and role-playing games. "She Kills Monsters" tells the story of Agnes Evans, who stumbles into a journey of self-discovery and adventure with the assistance of the iconic board game "Dungeons & Dragons," prompted by the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. Playwright Qui Nguyen's tale offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior in all of us. Among the cast is Benett Sullivan, a Theatre Arts major from Manchester.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Emmanuel College in Boston named Mairead Scanlon of Manchester to the Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA

• Julia Brennan, of Manchester, has been named to the dean's list at James Madison University for the fall 2018 session. Students who earn dean's list honors must be considered by the registrar to be carrying a full time course load of graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• The University of Hartford is pleased to announce 26 students from Manchester have been named to the Dean's List for fall 2018.
