Bad Review Argument a Focus of Manchester Restaurant Murder Case
A judge has ruled that a Manchester restaurant murder case can go forward.

MANCHESTER, CT — The murder case involving a kitchen manager accused of murdering a fellow employee at a Manchester restaurant can proceed to trial, a Hartford Superior Court judge has ruled.
The case seems centered around an argument over a bad online review, according to the Hartford Courant, which had a reporter at the hearing.
The shooting took place at 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 30 at Bonchon Restaurant on Pleasant Valley Road. Norris Jackson, 36, of East Hartford, died as a result of his wounds.

James Goolsby, 29, has been charged with murder in the case. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond and is due back in court on July 29, according to judicial system records.
Charged with hindering prosecution in the case is 23-year-old Leanne Robitaille. She is being held on a $100,000 bond and her next court date is June 30, records show.

According to case records, Goolsby, the kitchen manager at Bonchon, was talking to a kitchen employee about a negative review the restaurant received on Yelp. Jackson, also an employee, interjected and the discussion became volatile, according to case records.
