Benches and Banners Making Downtown Manchester A Bit Brighter
Downtown Manchester is again feeling a little spring fever.

MANCHESTER, CT — Benches and banners ... they are again brightening up Downtown Manchester.
This year, a record number of businesses stepped up to sponsor banners, downtown officials said. The colorful banners feature a celebratory theme as Manchester prepares to celebrate 200 years in 2023, officials said.
Also adorning the downtown area are newly renovated art benches organized by Imagine Main Street. Last year, local artists painted the bench backs and Manchester Department of Public Works crews placed them on repaired bench frames.
